HR Manager Joachim Ruber, ept instructors, apprentices, and dual students: A total of 38 young people started their first year of training at ept.Teamwork was required at the kick-off weekend
On 2 September, Leni Guglhör, HR manager Joachim Ruber, and the ept training team welcomed 38 young people who started their training or dual studies at ept GmbH in Peiting or Buching. At the main plant in Peiting, Germany, there will be 16 tool mechanics, four industrial clerks, two mechatronics engineers, one surface coater, one technical product designer, and one IT specialist for system integration. The location will also have two dual students, one in industrial engineering and one in mechanical engineering, each of whom are also receiving industrial mechanic training. Eight tool mechanics, two technical product designers, and one mechatronics technician will start their first year of training at the Buching location. This brings the total number of apprentices and dual students to 128 in nine different types of apprenticeships, which corresponds to a trainee ratio of about 18 percent. It is important to train junior staff. This is also a matter of realizing the social responsibility that ept is striving for, according to ept HR Manager Ruber.
After just a few exciting days on the job, the apprentices and associate students will be travelling to the picturesque Allgäu to a kick-off weekend, accompanied by instructors of different professions. Various tasks that require a high degree of team work will be assigned from 6–7 September. These are intended to further boost the camaraderie between the attendees. The GPS orientation rally, for example, is one of the scheduled team-building tasks. Also on the schedule is a barbecue evening organized by the youngsters. The anticipation is high, as the so-called introductory weekend is popular with everyone.
